Last week Jay and I had the pleasure of sitting in with the Mutineers at the Dogfish later in the evening. Thanks guys! Guys? Mr. Bart Joy sat in with us at the beginning of the evening. How can it be just like old times when now is the old times? Thanks for the music Bart. Remember to sit in you have to be sanctioned - and it's a demeaning process.

Well, we had a good night. George came in with his symphony buddies and filled the house with some symphonthetic ears. Previous to the show I ditched Jay and went across the street where Stuart and Jeff were getting the house in the mood for Sam James. The three of us played a few numbers. Sean (Mr. Electric) came in and I thought maybe I should cross back over and take the pulpit.

A quiet night for us in Hallowell in a nice room with an assortment of beverages including a full bar and espresso selections, as well as those trendy martini drinks folks like these days. They looked quite wonderful but we stuck with bourbon. Small but friendly, colorful and engaged crowd. A pleasure to play and not have to yell over the often inattentive and uninterested bar patrons.

Whoop's! Two bands on one stage, well that didn't work out. Jay and I imposed ourselves on Sarah Martin and friends at the Chocolate Bar, 'bout a half block south on Wharf St. We spent the evening playing acoustically to an appreciative crowd. Although the Chocolate Bar doesn't generally have entertainment you should check it out. It's a European style cafe with a relaxed atmosphere, espresso bar, full bar, light fare and desserts.
